Some of these ideas may seem strange to you, but they’re tried and tested. Coming from someone who has energy throughout the day AND sleeps really well almost every single night, I can attest to these methods being helpful.
Wear Magnetic Insoles
Magnetic insoles have been shown to provide better energy throughout the day and when you take them off, provide improved sleep throughout the night. Magnetic insoles for shoes were Nikken’s first product in 1975 and a foundation for health for thousands of people worldwide.
Don’t eat this within a couple hours of sleep
Most people don’t want to hear this, but if you cut out all sugar a few hours before bed (including juice and anything containing natural or refined sugars), you’ll sleep better. It makes sense– sugar boosts energy. You don’t want more energy when it’s time to rest.
Don’t go to sleep hungry
I know they say “don’t eat after 6pm”, but I don’t fully agree. If I go to bed hungry, it takes me forever to fall asleep. I find that a spoon of nut butter right before I lay down to sleep, if I’m hungry, works really well to keep me from binge-eating before bed. Almond butter is great, if you have almond butter.
Get this kind of light during your waking hours
Daylight! Daylight is part of the natural wake/sleep rhythms of our body. If you’re not getting lots of daylight because you’re inside all day, then just buy a natural daylight lamp (I enjoy the Nikken KenkoLight) and keep it on while you’re working at your desk or on your computer.
Sleep with a magnetic sleep mask
Again, may sound odd but it really helps. My husband, son, and myself all use a magnetic sleep mask and notice improved rest. Balance Your Weight
